FAQ Info
I want to join your Acne Boot Camp. If I join, how long does it take acne to clear?
Because it takes up to 90 days for acne to form, you may still have 90 days of acne that will surface. Our acne products and protocol will keep the new acne from forming that would surface 90 days from now. Our Acne Care System will have your acne under control in about three to six months (in most cases) depending on your type of acne. Some types of acne take longer to clear. We will customize a home care regimen that takes at least five things into consideration - your type of acne, your skin type, your skin color, your skin sensitivity and your environment. The biggest part of getting your skin clear will be your commitment to doing your home care regimen as instructed and following lifestyle guidelines. We will closely monitor your progress to makes sure we have the best regimen for your skin---making adjustments, if necessary, to get your skin healthy and clear in the fastest way possible.
How is microchanneling different from microneedling?
Microchanneling is the new and improved microneedling with less downsides. The first difference is that microchanneling uses a tapping method and microneedling uses a stroking, or gliding method. This may not seem important, but the downside with microneedling is that it can cause additional drag on the skin and create microtears. The goal of activating collagen is not to cause trauma to the skin, but to create tiny punctures that the healthy tissues around it can heal. If microneedling is not done correctly, it can cause scarring and damage to the skin instead of helping it. On the other hand, microchanneling uses a stamp type pattern, which does not cause tearing, or additional trauma to the skin. The stamping technique is optimal because it creates uniform, clean microchannels as opposed to dragging, tearing and inconsistent microchannels in the skin, which happens with the dragging of a microneedling pen.
What are the benefits of dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning ensures a smooth skin texture, removes vellous hair (“peach fuzz”) so oil and dirt can’t clog pores and removes dead skin. Products will penetrate better with dermaplaning. Clients will also experience a brighter complexion with this service.
Does a Brazilian (or bikini) wax hurt?
A Brazilian wax service can be uncomfortable to clients (and to some, it can even hurt). High quality hard waxes are used for our body waxing services (cheaper waxes tend to cause more pain and irritation). We also allot 30 minutes for Brazilian waxing services, in case our clients need to take a "breather" during the service. Our clients are treated with highest level of customer service and patience.
What is a vajacial/vagacial?
A vajacial/vagacial is a spa treatment for the vaginal area. This service treats ingrown hairs, removes dead skin cells, treats and prevents acne and helps with hyperpigmentation. The service is recommended to maintain healthy and hydrated skin.
